Wine Tasting at Cortecorbo

With just one last day of vacation. we thought if we could squeeze in one more tour with Aldo we could officially end our vacation on a high note. Maria found another wine tasting at Cortecorbo Winery. The owner, Anthonia was such a sweet woman and she opened her winery and served us cheese, meats, jam, and bread. Afterwards, Aldo took us to Da Rosa's for the largest lunch I have ever seen. We went on a Sunday, so Rosa's was very busy with First Communion.  What a great last day of vacation!

We had a selection of 7 different pastas to try. So good!!
Not pictured was our salad and meat courses but here was dessert. Fresh fruit and sorbet- so good!

Barcelona, Spain

From Rome, Ivan and I split off from Maria and Jose and headed for Barcelona. We stayed three nights, the 23rd, 24th, and 25th.

My first cup of Starbucks on vacation! They were hard to come by and I really missed soy milk, so I was very happy to have my soy chai!
Instead of taking the metro the first day, we just walked and walked. I think at the end of the day we totaled over 15 miles of walking. Here is a picture (below) of Sagrada Familia. Later that day we decided to go out for dinner and on the way back we got lost and continued a very very long walk back to the hotel. Looking back, it was one of the most fun experiences we had on vacation, although at the time being lost in an unknown city in the dark was just a tad scary.
We visited Park Guell which was such an amazing experience, we even climbed a mountain. The pics below that show the entire city were taken from the top.
"Top Of the Mountain!"
Walking down from the top of the mountain...
We were lucky to find this local bar after leaving Park Guell-  good beer and a good ambiance.
